Scorpio Season ♏︎ - (22.10.24—21.11.24)

Tue, 22 Oct

  • Mercury ♏︎ trine Saturn ♓︎ (13’11, 07:19)

  • Sun ♎︎ square Pluto ♑︎ (29’40, 15:12)

  • Sun ♎︎ enters Scorpio ♏︎ (00’00, 23:15)

The same day the Sun moves into Scorpio it’ll first square Pluto in the final degrees of Capricorn. Our arrival in the new sign will be suitably Scorpionic, accompanied by the feeling of our willpower coming up against something that we’ve been unconscious of, perhaps shedding light on a secret or a deeper motivating drive.

Pluto can be uncomfortable to confront, and may cause us to act out of our loudest most urgent emotional response, instead of our wiser judgement. If we’re feeling as if our fight or flight instincts are triggered, it’s worth taking the time to acknowledge whether you’re in any material danger and what caused it. Often with Pluto, it is only the feeling of a threat, yet one that can still be experienced viscerally in the body.

On this same day Mercury trines Saturn, allowing us to voice some of these heavier thoughts and communicate how we’re feeling with more structure and focus. It may also help us identify some of the material obstacles that have been inhibiting our thought progress or planning. This is a great transit for studying, essay writing, signing contracts, doing more mundane paperwork.

Mon, 28 Oct

  • Venus ♐︎ square Saturn ♓︎ (13’10, 17:32)

  • Mars ♋︎ trine Neptune ♓︎ (27’41, 19:55)

We might feel everything we’re doing is well intentioned and that we’re acting in pursuit of our ideals, that we are being generous or selfless, but both these transits suggest some difficulty in how our actions are received in social context.

Venus in Sagittarius square Saturn in Pisces, acts a bit like a roadblock to Venus’ fiery fun-loving adventure seeking. We might also find ourselves disillusioned or disappointed with our pursuits and outcomes.

A more positive take on these transits would be to channel them toward something less social and more creative, as the vision and will to make something beautiful, ideally something tactile, is strong here.

Wed, 30 Oct

  • Mercury ♏︎ opposite Uranus ♉︎ (25’56, 22:05)

Confronting information incoming. Do your best to keep an open-mind amidst the chaos and explosive, electric extrasensory stimulus coming in from Uranus. Communicating clearly may be difficult, and may be at risk of coming off aggressive, so take care to say what you mean.

Fri, 1 Nov

  • Sun ♏︎ conjunct Moon ♏︎ // New Moon (9’45, 12:47)

  • New Moon ♏︎ trine Saturn ♓︎ (12’51, 19:19)

The alignment of our wants and needs meet here in Scorpio. In the wake of last month’s conflict oriented moon cycle, where we were asked to stand up and self-actualise, there is a risk now of becoming overly self-reliant. This New Moon wants you to think about emotional safety, and what that means to you.

What is trust? And what do you need to trust someone? What must they reveal to you of themselves, for you to be convinced their intentions are true? And how are you showing you can be trusted? Words are not enough. We want to see action. Saturn’s presence is supportive but wants you to be discerning and have self-respect in who/what you allow into your inner-circle.

The answers to these questions will reveal themselves over the coming cycle, you need not rush to conclusions. But it is worth considering how these emotional boundaries are being tested in your life, and what the consequences for you will be if you don’t prioritise your safety and security. In spite of evidence (whether supportive or condemning) trust is something we feel. Trustful or mistrustful, what is at the root of this feeling?

Sat, 2 Nov

  • Mercury ♏︎ trine Mars ♋︎ (29’21, 08:07)

  • Mercury ♏︎ sextile Pluto ♑︎ (29’45, 15:00)

  • Mercury ♏︎ enters Sagittarius ♐︎ (00’00, 19:18)

The mind is busy in process with what has been set in motion at the new moon. Both Scorpio’s traditional and modern ruler form aspects to Mercury — the planet of communication — giving a heightened sensitivity to the emotional undercurrents and the ability to peer into deeper meaning behind people’s words. This can give our conversations a more direct and piercing quality, that cut the bullshit and get to the heart of an issue.

It’s worth warning that these thoughts, when expressed by you or to you, may bring up anger and that plutonic fight or flight trigger. Try assess whether you are in material danger before retaliating. Of course emotional violence is still violence, but use try to use this as information to inform your next move rather than falling into coping mechanisms or retaliating in fear.

Sun, 3 Nov

  • Mars ♋︎ opposite Pluto ♑︎ (29’45, 10:44)

  • Venus ♐︎ opposite Jupiter ♊︎ (20’16, 15:13)

That said, not retaliating is probably going to be super fucking hard. As Mars makes this opposition with Pluto (that has been mounting for a few weeks by now) our will to do something is in direct opposition with our more repressed desires and unconcious motivating power, our trauma and coping mechanisms. Unfortunately this points to something provocative and triggering, to which our response is likely to be confrontation one way or another.

There is immense power to be found in Pluto’s depths, and it’s possible this series of transits will unearth something really significant in motivating us to action — overcoming the inertia we’ve perhaps experienced with so many planets in Water signs. Mars will be a key player over the next few months as it approaches its retrograde, so our actions and approach in this time will be significant to what we are reflecting on toward the end of the year. As Mars moves into Leo the following day, it departs from its sign of detriment, into the Sun’s domain. Accompanied by a newfound bravery and longing to be seen doing the right thing (whatever that means to you right now).

Venus and Jupiter’s involvement on this date helps mediate the fallout somewhat, and will be looking for resolution as quickly as possible and can get creative in the ways they find this. Even in opposition, Venus in Jupiter’s domicile of Sagittarius serves to help receive Jupiter’s big picture thinking and high-mindedness more fairly. Both planets may prone to being a bit self-indulgent in their own wax-poeticising, when in fact not all suggestions intended to fix the problem will work out in practical, but their is a much needed open-mindedness. Particularly around our cosmology, and politics.

Mon, 4 Nov

  • Mars ♋︎ enters Leo ♌︎ (00’00, 04:09)

  • Sun ♏︎ trine Saturn ♓︎ (12’47, 17:18)

Our sense of self and ambitions are stabilised by this transit, additional clarity to the events over the New Moon. Saturn is supportive here and will reward you for your patience and the hard work you’ve done on yourself. You may find yourself in the good graces of authority figures or that you have significant leverage or resources to put toward achieving your long term goals.

Sat, 9 Nov

  • Venus ♐︎ square Neptune ♓︎ (27’27, 15:13)

The time has come where the practicality of Venus’ compromises will be tested, and it’s likely they may need to be reworked. Venus’ entry to Capricorn 2 days later will change the tone of the world she recieves and how she is exacting what is fair and what is graceful.

However this is is a wonderful time for making and appreciating art, music, and a bit of theatre. Any contact between Venus and Neptune opens us up to beauty, and in this case appreciating a great story and how stories change us.

Mon, 11 Nov

  • Venus ♐︎ enters Capricorn ♑︎ (00’00, 18:25)

Tue, 12 Nov

  • Mercury ♐︎ square Saturn ♓︎ (12’49, 15:44)

Whatever was engaged with during the Mercury/Saturn Trine will likely resurface around this date, coming into material fruition, or the next stage of development. If you’ve been studying, planning, working toward a deadline, perhaps it is crunch time and you must put your ideas to the test. If you’ve done the work Saturn will support you and reward you further down the line… if not this is where he’ll put you on your ass.

You may need to rethink and restructure things, or seek counsel from someone more experienced under this transit. Advice received here is probably worth heeding.

Fri, 15 Nov

  • Sun ♏︎ opposite Moon ♉︎ // Full Moon ♉︎ (24’00, 21:27)

Over the course of these first two weeks we have been wrestling with what is sustainable for our emotional well-being and safety. Scorpio’s dedication to its inner work must eventually be cultivated on the material plane to have lasting felt effects and gain some stability. When we work out what we can trust, what is true and permanent, what is real… we can lay a solid foundation, without fear, and ideally relax a little in our emotional/physical body. This is interlinked with the transit on the following day.

Sat, 16 Nov

  • Sun ♏︎ opposite Uranus ♉︎ (25’47, 15:57)

Given that the Sun is opposite Uranus so close to the Full Moon, chances are we won’t feel as relaxed as the transit might otherwise imply - and we’re likely to still have a lot of anxiety around these questions of trusting. Not necessarily negative, Uranus channels a lot of new information and new opportunities for what we’ve been working on to be put to the test.

This unpredictable stimulus to the Taurian full moon may leave us feeling a little anxious or agitated in our body, overwhelmed by the chaotic situations we find ourselves in. But it also has potential to be exciting and a breath of freedom from some of the deep-diving that has gone on. This could be the ‘eureka moment’ that Uranus is inclined to bring. Lean into the excitement of the new experience as best you can and be willing for the boundaries you have set to be put to the test. Perhaps this shake-up from the every day is just what the body needs, or perhaps this is just what it needs to know what’s best for it is rest.

Mon, 18 Nov

  • Mercury ♐︎ opposite Jupiter ♊︎ (20’16, 04:49)

This is a comparatively less stressful transit to approach the end Scorpio season on. Mercury opposite Jupiter gives us an open-mindedness and capacity to learn new things when faced with a broader perspective. Both the learned planets are in each other’s signs, giving them an unlikely understanding and insight into the details and their function in the big picture. Expect the ongoing political, philosophical, religious conversations we have with friends (or avoid having with friends) to come to the fore on this date.

Tue, 19 Nov

  • Sun ♏︎ trine Neptune ♓︎ (27’46, 15:01)

  • Pluto ♑︎ enters Aquarius ♒︎ (00’00, 20:39)

Sun trining Neptune opens us up to feeling moved by something spiritually, a beautiful creative energy that inspires and brings hearts together. Under this our willpower may wish to relinquish its grip on some of its emotional barriers, instead seeking togetherness. This transit is gentle and will make the humble-pie we might be eating in wake of difficult conversations a little easier to swallow, or vice-versa for those we’ve been in conflict with. This encourages kindness and sympathy.

Thur, 21 Nov

  • Sun ♏︎ enters Sagittarius ♐︎
